Information Technology Manager (ITM)/Site Lead

Intro: The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) requires comprehensive worldwide information technology (IT) support to operate and maintain the Special Operations Forces (SOF) Information Enterprise (SIE). The SIE provides support from the garrison level out to forward-deployed tactical operators and sensors worldwide. In pursuit of these requirements, USSOCOM, its Component Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and deployed forces are deploying the Special Operations Forces Network (SOFNET). The deployment of the SOFNET is instrumental to achieving the Commander's Vision of a Global SOF Network that provides strategic options for our national leaders and supported Global Combatant Commanders through a worldwide network that fully integrates our military, interagency and international partners with aligned structures, processes and authorities. The services provided by SITEC II will be a key enabler for over 69,700 users operating in approximately 75 countries.
SOCPAC Information Technology Manager (ITM)/Site Lead
Job Description: The SOCPAC ITM will serve as the Jacobs SITEC II SOCPAC lead supporting the SOCPAC Headquarters (HQs) and the SOCPAC subordinate locations. The ITM will manage Jacob's SITEC II's support of SOCPAC's IT Core Service operations and will establish and maintain effective and positive relationships with key customers within SOCPAC area of operations. Technical background, business acumen and people-management skills are required. Because the ITM directs the work of other employees, the right candidate for this position requires strong interpersonal and communication abilities. Experience in supporting DoD IT operations and analytical thinking are very important, as this position often involves IT operations problem resolution and process development. In addition, a strong customer service orientation is a must because ITM often serves as the final escalation point for high-visibility troubleshooting.
Responsibilities: SOCPAC ITM responsibilities include:
Analyzing workflow, delegating projects, and meeting departmental goals
Developing and monitoring performance standards.
Providing input on hiring decisions for technical staff.
Implementing and monitoring new projects.
Managing the performance of and delegating projects to team members.
Overseeing the consolidation of IT services.
Executing project management processes and methodologies within project frameworks 37 to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards, 38 and meet customer expectations. 39
Articulating key critical path activities and understanding the technical requirements, 40 dependencies, and tradeoffs at varying levels of system design (e.g., logical and 41 physical).
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in an IT-related field and minimum of ten (10) years of relevant, progressive working experience. Must have at least five (5) years of experience supporting DoD IT Core Service Operations, DoD functional systems (Command and Control, Logistics Intelligence etc.) transport and services infrastructure hardware and software. SOCPAC IT Operations experience is desired. Demonstrated leadership is required.
Required Certification(s): A PMI Project Management Professional (PMP), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) professional certification is required.
Active TS/SCI Security Clearance; Candidate may start with a Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI clearance.
Essential Functions
Work Environment
Work will be performed in a cubical environment inside a large facility. Will require some travel to CONUS and OCONUS Special Operations locations depending on requests by the customer. May be required to attend off site meetings.
Physical Requirements
Sitting at desk. Phone use and PC or laptop. Filing required. May require lifting and carrying boxes of supplies or files up to 25 lbs. Extended periods of sitting while on PC/laptop or phone.
Equipment and Machines
General office equipment, which includes: telephone, fax machine, copier, PC/laptop, and other miscellaneous office equipment. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required.
Attendance
Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is mandatory. Work assignments dependent on requirements by the client. It is important to be able to work at least 8 hours a day for 5 days per week (Monday through Friday). Normal working hours will be day shift, 0800 to 1700, Monday through Friday.

Must be well organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to interface effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. Grooming and dress usually business casual, but dependent on client's standards. Must not pose a safety hazard to employees working in the same general area.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
