Junior program manager position supporting the United States Pacific Command (USPACOM) Innovation and Experimentation Division, headquartered at Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii. Specific programs include the Green Initiative for Fuels Transition--Pacific (GIFTPAC), and Joint Deployable Waste to Energy (JDW2E). This position will be responsible for creating and managing Microsoft Office Project files, collecting and analyzing data associated with these programs, providing administrative and planning support (to include planning meetings and events, taking notes, supporting knowledge management, and outreach), and writing and presenting program overviews and updates (analysis, reports, summaries, correspondence, etc.). This position will interact with various elements of the Department of Defense, to include Service Laboratories, Science and Technology offices, and experimentation centers.
- Supports the Operational Manager of GIFTPAC and JDW2E programs in the performance and administration of those programs
- Has or develops subject matter knowledge on biofuels and waste-to-energy programs, and can quickly provide updates, briefings, talking points, or information papers to senior executives
- Maintains situational awareness of other Department of Defense, other federal, private industry, and international advanced fuels and waste to energy programs
- Performs, in coordination with US DoD Service Departments and the Department of Energy, waste-to-energy technology tests and experiments, testing venues, and publication of test results
- Develops program plans, timelines, operational concepts, and tactics, techniques, and procedures to support transitioning these and potential future energy and contingency basing programs from concept to maturity.
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required from an accredited institution, with an academic major related to biology, chemicals, field experimentation, data analytics, operations research, or program management
- 2 years of coursework and/or experience in basic statistics and spreadsheet computation
- Must be proficient with the Microsoft Project and the Office suite of programs
- Must be physically able to deploy to locations with austere support for up to 30 days
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively interface with military, technical, and scientific personnel.
- Must be able to pass background checks necessary for a SECRET clearance
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be able to obtain a US Passport.
Salary will be determined based upon current experience and relevance to positionEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
