Supports United States Pacific Command (USPACOM) Innovation & Experimentation Division, headquartered at Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii. Candidate will focus on the Transformative Reductions in Operational Energy (TROPEC) program, which aims to reduce operational energy consumption at contingency bases across the region with a particular focus on tropical environment utility. Candidate will be responsible for developing and executing outreach strategies, writing and editing marketing materials and technical reports, contributing to energy-related data collection, providing administrative and planning support to include information management, as well as presenting program overviews and updates. Candidate will interact with various elements of the Department of Defense (DoD), industry and academia to include Departments of Energy and Defense laboratories, S&T; offices, and experimentation centers. Travel is anticipated to be up to 15% of time to continental US, Asia and Pacific Island locations.
Develop and coordinate outreach programs to various DOD agencies, industry, academia, DOE and others as appropriate to support development of the program; may also include updating social media, website and other outreach tools.
Review and contribute to USPACOM's TROPEC strategies, plans, and engagements to enhance the TROPEC program and its objectives.
Write, contribute to and provide feedback on technical and operational assessment plans and reports with an eye toward audience relevance.
Support TROPEC manager in administering interagency technical assessments, operational utility assessments, and design requirements.
Oversee production workflow of innovation/ energy applications submitted through the established web portal, including contributing to initial reviews and managing correspondence and information collection and dissemination from/to applicants and other program participants and partners.
Manage the Innovation Network to ensure a flow of high quality technology candidate submissions. Enhance submission flow by attending conferences, presentations and meetings.
Provide organizational, administrative and knowledge management capabilities to support the program.

BA or BS Degree and minimum of 3 years work experience.
Ability to coordinate and cooperate with diverse groups through various mediums such as teleconference, email, meetings.
Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and ability to handle administration of several tasks concurrently is a must.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively interface with military, technical and scientific personnel.
Must be self-directed and have the ability to think critically about the objectives at hand.
Must be eligible for a Secret clearance.
Must be a US Citizen and have a valid US Passport.
Physically able and willing to perform the work, to potentially include travel in the U.S. and internationally to support program goals and objectives.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Preference given for degrees in marketing, energy, science and technology or business.
DoD operational energy policy, energy systems & technologies, and other energy-related subject matter expertise.
Knowledge of DOD Service energy programs and Office of Secretary of Defense Operational Energy Plans and Programs initiatives.
Experience providing oversight to technical projects.
Knowledge of the DoD acquisition processes, to include the JCIDS process, OSD and Service rapid fielding programs, and experimentation programs.
Salary will be determined based upon current experience and relevance to position
