Supports the United States Pacific Command (USPACOM) Outreach Division (J9), headquartered at Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii. Candidate will work with the All Hazards Working Group and its three sub working groups to support the development and integration of the All Hazards Sub Campaign (AHSC) with the Commander's Theater Campaign Plan (TCP). Candidate shall provide knowledge management services as well as research to help monitor the progress of the effort. Responsibilities include data management, progress and impact mapping, and managing the integration of tasks against milestones.
Provide robust knowledge management.
Create and manage a site on the USPACOM SharePoint Portal.
Monitor tasks and research efforts across whole of government associated with the Security and Stability; Resiliency; and Integration and Coordination lines of effort utilizing tracking and data management tools to include SharePoint, SMS, TMS and similar software systems.
Contribute to the development and management of Intermediate Military Objectives (IMOs) within the AHSC. Work within and plan toward timeline requirements of the Theater Campaign Plan and Campaign Order through the All Hazards Plan - Direct - Monitor - Assess (PDMA) process.
Integrate the All Hazards Lines of Effort, Effects and Tasks. Map and track All Hazards tasks for the Theater Campaign Order and nesting of operations, actions and activities (OAAs) to intermediate military objectives (IMOs).
Interface with leadership and staff of various elements of the Department of Defense, USPACOM working groups, Center for Excellence, and other USG agencies as well as foreign counterparts.
Provide analysis, briefings and recommendations to AHSC leadership on efforts of interest.
Prepare talking points and information papers as required for the Lead Planner, Key leader Engagements and others in support of the AHSC.
Support the Commander, US Pacific Command, in operationalizing the PACOM staff by providing subject matter expertise in developing and implementing components of the AHSC in partnership with the AHSC Leadership, as well as supporting and participating in the Boards, Bureaus, Centers, Cells and Working Group (B2C2WG) to include the Joint Energy Security Working Group (JESWG) effort.
Administrative support to include scheduling, invitations, membership management, and developing agendas and other products.
Bachelor's Degree and minimum three (3) years work experience, with preference for degrees in information management/ information systems or eight (8) years work experience in US DOD.
Must have knowledge management experience.
Must have excellent organization, attention to detail, timeline management, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior military, government, non-governmental, and scientific personnel.
Must be able to work independently and to work well as a member of a team.
Must be eligible for a Secret clearance.
Must be a US Citizen and have a valid US Passport.
Physically able and willing to perform the work, to potentially include travel in the U.S. and internationally to support program goals and objectives.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Preference for candidates with experience working with tracking and task management software.
Preference for candidates with experience tracking and mapping tasks against objectives and timelines for cumulative analysis.
Familiarity with US DOD campaign planning timelines, processes and software preferred.
Knowledge of the USPACOM Knowledge Management working group efforts is preferred.
